 1. VR supplemented BLS and AED course – 3 hours

The Basic Life Support Course is a fundamental emergency First Aid course suitable for all members of the public. BLS consists of the skills required to assess someone who is unconscious, to perform CPR and how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  Studies have shown that survival from a cardiac arrest improves greatly with effective CPR and rapid defibrillation.

Emergency First aid at work is a great investment, in the UK there are 250,000 reported injuries at work each year, costing around 30 million working days per year. Equipping your workplace with first aiders and equipment helps to protect workers and provides the legal protection to minimise litigation costs.

Basic Life Support training is mandatory for all healthcare professionals in public and private institutions and is valuable to all members of the public, particularly school staff and employees in positions of responsibility. No previous first aid experience is necessary.

First aid is a compulsory component of the school curriculum in Wales and Northern Ireland and is strongly recommended in England and Scotland. The British Red Cross has called for first aid education to be mandatory across the UK in order to teach a whole generation the lifesaving skills.

We, at Medigage, believe that first aid teaching at school can be both interesting and fun for children. We use cutting edge Virtual Reality Headsets to allow children to learn and practice a rescue scenario independently. The headsets allow the kids to see into a completely computer generated world where they can help rescue a collapsed person and test their knowledge on the key steps in the process.
